Drewniana Róża

For kids

Karkonosze with kids: a pond with a paddling area, a climbing wall and trampolines

Drewniana Róża in Michałowice is a place where the grown-ups truly rest, because the kids truly have things to do. A 40 cm paddling area in the natural pond, the Club room with a climbing wall, two trampolines, a sandpit and a treehouse are all within a hundred metres of your doorstep and included in the price of your stay.

Family time

You in the hammock, the kids on the trampoline

The day arranges itself here: a swim in the pond, a board game in the Club room, a lazy nap between the spruces. And in the evening, the sauna for the grown-ups while the kids play table football or conquer the climbing wall.

  • A nap in a hammock by the pond while the little ones bounce on the trampoline
  • The Forest SPA for adults in the evening — the kids play table football in the Club room
  • Board games, a small library and a fireplace — for a rainy day and for the evening
  • Our four dogs greet you at the gate and walk you to your cabin

What awaits the kids

Everything within a hundred metres of your doorstep — no car, no planning.

A 40 cm paddling area in the pond

The crystal-clear mountain swimming pond has a separate shallow zone for children — 40 cm deep, clean water with no chlorine. The little ones splash by the shore while the older ones swim nearby.

How our swimming pond works

Climbing wall and table football

In the Club room, under a roof — for rainy days and evenings. The wall for the smaller ones, table football for the bigger ones and anyone who hates losing.

Two trampolines

On the outdoor playground. Usually the first thing after breakfast and the last before dinner.

Sandpit and treehouse

Outdoor playground: a sandpit for the youngest, a treehouse for those who already need a base of their own.

Family nature trail

A short walk around the property — just right for the afternoon, when the legs still have some energy and the head wants to learn something.

Little kids' corner

In the Club room: toys and board games for the youngest, with the library and fireplace for parents right next to it.

Hammocks and deck chairs by the pond

Strung between the spruces, right by the water — for parents keeping an eye on the kids, and for kids who have finished swimming.

Winter animal feeding

A walk with the kids to the feeding rack, with hay and carrots in the backpack. Animal tracks in the snow along the way, and a sledging hill next to the cabins.

Parents' questions

Before you come with the kids

What about young children?

A child under 3 sleeping with their parents stays free, and we can bring a travel cot for a one-off fee. The pond has a 40 cm-deep paddling area, and the Club room has a little kids' corner.

Is the pond suitable for small children?

Yes — there is a separate 40 cm-deep paddling area for the youngest, and the water is filtered biologically, with no chlorine. Children use the pond under adult supervision, as at any swimming spot.

What do we do when it rains?

The Club room: a little kids' corner with toys, board games, a climbing wall and table football for the kids, a library and a fireplace for the grown-ups. And the Forest SPA in the afternoon.

Can children use the Forest SPA?

The Forest SPA offers a treatment for children up to 10 — The Little Elf's Rest, a gentle shea butter massage. For using the sauna zone with children, it's best to ask at reception when booking.

Which apartments are the most convenient with children?

For a family of two adults and two children, Jałowiec works well (split-level, with a 180×200 bed on the mezzanine), as does any of the five cabins (up to 6 people). Jodła and Świerk have a fold-out 80×200 extra bed for a child, and neither has any stairs.

How much does an extra child cost?

A child under 3 sleeping with their parents stays free. An extra adult or a child over 12 costs 150 zł per night. A stay of one adult with a child or two children is charged as for two adults.

Where can we go with kids nearby?

Closest: Szklarka Waterfall (2.4 km), Złoty Widok with a viewing platform (2.6 km), the “Julia” Glassworks (2.9 km) and Chojnik Castle (4.1 km). For a rainy day: the Natural History Museum in Jelenia Góra (7.9 km). For a whole day out: Western City in Ściegny (14 km), the Park of Miniatures in Kowary (18 km) and the Kowary Adits (20 km).
