Drewniana Róża

Lakeside Cabins

Cabins by the pond in the Karkonosze — fireplace, terrace over the water, forest

The five wooden cabins of Drewniana Róża (Sosna, Cyprys, Daglezja, Modrzewnik and Tuja) stand in a row by Poland's highest-located swimming pond, in Michałowice in the Karkonosze Mountains. Each has 50 m², a wood-burning fireplace, air conditioning, a full kitchenette, a terrace over the water and a mezzanine with a hammock net set into the floor.

Cabins by the pond in the evening — warm light reflected in the water

A terrace right over the water

Morning mist over the pond, evening reflections of the stars — front-row seats for nature's show.

A wood-burning fireplace

A real fire for autumn and winter evenings. We deliver a basket of logs to your door.

Air conditioning

Pleasantly cool cabins even on hot summer days — a rarity in the mountains, standard here.

The cabins are near-identical twins — only their spot in the row sets them apart. Whichever one you get, the pond view comes with it.

Living in a cabin

A day in a cabin by the pond

Morning mist over the water and coffee on the terrace, the pond a few steps from the door during the day, and in the evening a fire in the fireplace and the stars reflected on the surface.

The cabin has two levels. Downstairs is a living room with a wood-burning fireplace and a full kitchenette; on the mezzanine, a bedroom divided by a bookshelf. A hammock net is stretched into the mezzanine floor: you can lie on it and look down into the living room.

The pond below the terrace is natural: biologically filtered water, no chlorine, with a 40 cm-deep paddling area for children, open in summer 08:00–22:00. Dogs have their own wild pond on the other side of the cabins.

Questions about the cabins

Before you book a cabin

How many guests fit in a cabin?

From 1 to 6 people, including up to 5 adults. The cabins are split-level: downstairs a living room with a fireplace and kitchenette, and on the mezzanine a bedroom divided by a bookcase.

Do the cabins have a sauna?

The cabins don't have a private sauna. Your stay includes the Forest SPA with a dry sauna, an infrared sauna and a relaxation room (daily 15:30–18:30), and in the evening, 18:45–22:15, you can take the whole zone for your exclusive use for 50 zł per hour.

Do you have a jacuzzi?

Yes, on the terrace of the Szyszka apartment. On top of that there is a natural swimming pond right below the terrace, open in summer 08:00–22:00, and a dry and an infrared sauna all year round.

How do the cabins differ from each other?

Only by their place in the row. Sosna is first, Cyprys second, Daglezja in the middle looks straight onto the pond and the forest, Modrzewnik stands closer to the wall of trees, and Tuja, at the end of the row, is the closest to the car park: choose it if you have a lot to carry from the car.

Are the cabins warm in winter?

Yes: there is heating and a wood-burning fireplace. We bring a basket of logs to your door.

Do the cabins have air conditioning?

Yes, all five. On a hot summer day the cabins are pleasantly cool.

How much does a cabin cost?

From 500 zł per night. Weekend stays are for a minimum of 2 nights. The availability search will show the price for your dates.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, the one-off fee is 50 zł per stay. Dogs have their own wild pond on the other side of the cabins; they don't swim in the swimming pond.

Is the pond safe for children?

It has a separate paddling area 40 cm deep. The swimming area is not lifeguarded, so children use it under adult supervision.

Which way should I carry my luggage to the cabin?

Along the path behind the cabins. Where possible, please don't transport luggage, strollers, bikes, children, mother-in-law 😉 and everything else essential for a holiday along the terrace in front of the cabins' windows. This way the other guests can enjoy their privacy and relax.
