Poland's best-known cross-country skiing and biathlon centre. Snow lies here for an average of 156 days a year, and the trails are FIS-homologated.
In winter
In winter the day in the valley is shorter but denser. At Drewniana Róża, in Michałowice at 680 m a.s.l., it begins in the dark, by the fireplace, and ends in the sauna, with a break for sledging and a walk in the snow.
On site
Most winter pleasures wait right outside your door. Next to the cabins there is a sledging hill, and sledges are available on site, so between runs you can pop in for a cocoa. In the Forest SPA the Finnish dry sauna and the infrared sauna are heated up: the sauna zone is open to guests daily from 15:30 to 18:30, included in the price of your stay, and in the evening from 18:45 to 22:15 you can take it for your exclusive use. After a session, a traditional bucket of cold water cools you down.
The cabins have wood-burning fireplaces (we bring a basket of logs to your door), and in the Club room a fireplace burns for everyone, next to the little library and the little kids' corner with a climbing wall. During the winter holidays, with the “Winter break in the Karkonosze” package, a ready-made plan for every day is added: an Aufguss session in the dry sauna on Fridays at 18:00, feeding the animals with the children on Wednesdays at 18:00 and a night trip to watch the sunrise on Tuesdays. For the trip you need your own traction cleats and a headlamp, and the date depends on the weather and the current avalanche bulletin.
